I am the only owner of this car. I am selling because I just took delivery on a new Model S, and not because there is anything wrong with this car. I love driving Teslas. I have owned this car for 4 years and decided to try to sell it privately. A year ago I did not anticipate getting a new Tesla, so I upgraded the computer in the car in order to be able to access some of features not available in 2017 when I bought the car like “summon”. As a consequence, this car is eligible to purchase Full Self Driving for $5000 or subscribe for $99/month. The current cost of these featrues is $10000 or $200/month. The car also comes with other features including enhanced autopilot, summon and auto parking. In new cars, these features are part of Full Self Driving. The EPA range estimate for this car is 256 miles. Newer cars come with more range, but in the 4 years I have owned this car, I have driven it coast to coast twice and from Houston to the east cost 3 times. I have not experiences any problems with charging or range anxiety along the way. The car’s navigation system is awsome and tells you when, how and where you need to charge on the Tesla network along the way. There are alternative charging stations but Tesla super chargers are just to convenient and I did not bother with others. The longest time time I spent charging at a Tesla super charger was about 40 minutes. Most charging stops were much shorter, usually around 20 minutes. Highway driving is more efficient and on trips I usually had usage in the range of 225 watt-hrs or less, depending on the terrain. That translates to about 330 miles of range when traveling. The car is in perfect condition. When I bought the car, it came with an unlimited mileage warranty on the battery and power train that would last 8 years. There is about 4 years remaining on the warranty which will transfer with the car. If you want to drive a Model S but do not want to commit to the costs of a new one, a car like this one with the remaining warranties, free charging and features could be a good solution for you. I would be happy to tell you more about the car and arrange for a drive. I can be reached most any time via cell phone, text or email.
