2015 Tesla Model S 85D — Transferable Free Supercharging (SC01) & MCU2 (Intel Atom)
Selling my 85D. This car has SC01 Free Unlimited Supercharging, which is permanently tied to the VIN and transfers to the new owner. You will never pay for charging at Tesla Superchargers for the life of the car.
It has the MCU2 (Intel Atom) upgrade, which makes the center screen fast and responsive. This build includes the v1 opening moonroof (not the fixed glass) and Autopilot 1 (AP1) hardware.
Specs:
- Color: Pacific Blue Metallic (PMMB) with Tan Leather interior and Piano Black trim.
- Hardware: MCU2 Upgrade, Autopilot 1, Dual Motor AWD.
- Charging: SC01 Free Supercharging (Transferable).
Technical Details & Condition:
The car drives well and has no active alerts on the dash. I want to be upfront about two specific issues:
- BMS_u035 Error: I have seen this isolation code in the service logs twice, specifically only when preheating the cabin in cold weather. It is not currently active.
- Wheel Well Liner: The front driver-side liner popped off while driving and was shredded by the tire. I’ve purchased a replacement liner (~$200), but haven’t had time to install it, so I’ll include it in the trunk. I suspect the missing liner is allowing moisture into the high-voltage areas during wet weather, which may be related to the intermittent preheating error.
Price: $14,900
Located in Orinda, CA. Clean title in hand. Even though the federal used EV tax credits expired last year, this is still a high-value commuter thanks to the free lifetime charging.
