We bought this Nissan Leaf in December 2022 for $12,875 and have REALLY loved this car. We recently decided to upgrade to a newer electric car and would like to find a new owner for our Leaf who will love it as much as we have! This was a fantastic first EV for us: reliable, comfortable, inexpensive to run, and practically maintenance-free. We have taken very good care of it; it’s practically unchanged from when we bought it. The interior and exterior are also in great shape; the paint job is a gorgeous cherry red (bright red in the sunshine, dark red in the shade) and it’s in beautiful condition except for a few scuffs on the top of the rear bumper. This car makes a great first EV, if you’re just trying one out and want a nice car that will last for awhile without having to pay big bucks for a new EV with a huge range. It’s a fantastic car for your daily commute, errands, taking the kids to school or whatever.
- THIS CAR WILL BE AT THE SIERRA AUTO FAIR AT SIERRA COLLEGE IN ROCKLIN THIS WEEKEND. COME CHECK IT OUT IN PERSON!
- You may notice that our price is higher than the Kelley Blue Book estimate. This is because KBB is designed for gas cars and does not consider the EV battery condition. The number of battery life bars is crucial when shopping for a used Leaf! Each bar makes a huge difference in the car’s range.
- Our Leaf still has 9 of 12 bars, because we have almost always kept the battery charge between 20% and 80%, which keeps the battery from deteriorating.
- Charging this car costs only a few dollars (or free at some locations), and you don’t need to install a Level 2 outlet at home; we’ve just used the trickle charger (included) which can be plugged into a regular wall outlet. This takes about 6 hours from 20% up to 80% and you can program it to stop automatically.
- If you charge it on a Level 2 (fast) charger somewhere in town, it only takes about an hour to go to do the same.
- If you keep this car between 20% and 80%, it’s got enough range to jet around in town, but this is not a car that can take you on road trips.
- The rear seats even have their own seat heater! An unusual and delightful feature that your passengers will appreciate all winter.
- This car was in a minor accident before we bought it, but the repair job was flawless. We’re happy to show you the vehicle history report
- The Nissan Leaf gets top marks on all sorts of crash tests — an ideal first vehicle for a teen driving themselves back and forth to school, to keep them super safe!
The best thing about this car is the great feeling you get, knowing that you’re not emitting stinky exhaust and polluting the air that pedestrians and cyclists are breathing while you pass them by. Overall, the LEAF is the best affordable EV out there on the market, and we highly recommend it for your first EV!
