2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD

I took delivery of my Model 3 on May 25, 2018, after over 2 years of waiting. At that time, it was considered a “first production” model, meaning the options were limited within the first year of production – all cars had long range, rear wheel drive, black interior. The long range rear wheel drive Model 3 is the most efficient vehicle Tesla has made. I went with the gorgeous deep blue metallic, and the 18″ aero wheels. I took the hubcaps off at delivery in favor of the wheel kit. I put the aero hubcaps back on for road trips only. It was built May 7, 2018, VIN range 195XX – which means that it has the second generation seats (front and back). It also means that it has the coveted rainbow roof when it gets wet (see picture).

This car has never been in an accident and has not had any major mechanical issues. It has another 14 months or almost 18,000 miles of factory warranty (4 years, 50k), as well as an 8 year 120,000 mile battery warranty. The only cosmetic issue is a small dent/chip/scratch on the hood (see picture). Non-smoker, no pets in the car. All in all it has been an amazing car and I am only giving it up because I got a Model Y.

This car currently has basic autopilot only, which frankly is amazing. I have not paid for the upgrade to Full Self Driving. If the buyer pays for the $10,000 upgrade to unlock it, Tesla will upgrade the car’s computer at no additional charge.

A few things fixed by Tesla service: taillight (condensation), charge port, upper control arms, front door check straps, and windshield. Service also verified that the battery pack is in good health with no sign of degradation (see picture). The most recent charge to 90% (Friday March 5) yielded an estimated range of 274 miles. The 100% estimate shows 304 miles (see pictures), compared to the original max of 310 miles at delivery. Important to reiterate that this is only an estimate! The tires were replaced a year ago and have approximately 10,000 miles on them. They are the Michelin Cross Climate all season tire. Service told me last month that they do not need a rotation at this time.
