Rarely does a used car check every box — but this 2018 Tesla Model S P100D comes about as close as it gets. A garage-kept, Obsidian Black Metallic flagship with Ludicrous Mode, a factory sunroof, an upgraded package, fresh tires, and a Tesla-replaced high voltage battery. This is a fully documented, turn-key example of one of the most capable performance sedans ever built — at a fraction of its original $136,000 sticker price.
The Battery — Documented, Verified, and Still Under Warranty
On March 19, 2025, Tesla replaced the high voltage 100 kWh battery pack under the HV Battery Limited Warranty at zero cost to the owner. The replacement is a Tesla-certified remanufactured pack (part #ASY.HV BATT, 100KWH, CAT1, REMAN, SX — 1107679-01-A), installed and inspected by Tesla technicians, with a post-repair validation test drive completed and documented. This is not a third-party repair. Importantly, the HV Battery Limited Warranty on this pack remains active through November 17, 2026 — meaning the next owner takes delivery with meaningful factory coverage still in place. Service records are available and will be provided to serious buyers. The car left the Tesla Service Center fully tested, successfully powered on, and confirmed performing as designed.
Performance
This is the P100D — Tesla’s top-of-the-line Model S trim. With Ludicrous Mode engaged, this car rockets from 0–60 mph in under 2.5 seconds. That puts it in the company of six-figure supercars, in a five-seat, all-wheel-drive family sedan. Dual motors, 762 combined horsepower, and instantaneous electric torque make every on-ramp, every passing maneuver, and every traffic light a reminder of just how extraordinary this car is.
The Sunroof — A Disappearing Feature
2018 was the final model year Tesla offered the retractable panoramic sunroof on the Model S. It was discontinued entirely on subsequent models and cannot be added to any newer example. If a sunroof matters to you, this is one of the last ones — and it’s in a fully loaded P100D.
Condition
This car has been garage kept for its entire life. No sun damage, no weather wear, no sitting in a parking lot taking door dings. The Obsidian Black Metallic paint — one of Tesla’s most striking finishes — reflects that care. New tires have been installed. The interior and exterior present exceptionally well for a car of this age and should be seen in person.
Why Now
Tesla has announced the Model S will be discontinued in 2026, ending an era. Demand for clean, well-documented examples is rising — and with oil prices surging, the economics of owning an EV that costs pennies per mile to charge have never been more compelling. This car is not being priced with a negotiating cushion. It is priced to reflect what it actually is: a rare, low-mileage, fully documented flagship with a Tesla-replaced battery still under warranty, and a sunroof you cannot buy new anymore.
