Used Tesla Model S Performance AWD

Beginning in the year 2019, the Model S naming convention changed, and the battery designation started to drop from the Model S trim lines. The Model S Performance was the 100 kWh lithium ion battery, speed-centric version of the Model S. With the over-the-air update including Cheetah Mode in 2020, the Performance was capable of an unbelievable acceleration of 0 – 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds. Driving range was a generous 326 miles per charge, a figure that helped to reduce range anxiety for commuters and road-trippers within Tesla’s Supercharger network.

Autopilot, which is Tesla’s driver assistance system, continued to improve and, by the time the Model S Performance was manufactured, had progressed to AP2.5, shortly upgrading to AP3. By 2020, Base Autopilot software came standard, with Full Self Driving software available.

While speed and tech features within the Tesla Model S line have undergone major changes over the years, the look of the vehicle remains virtually unchanged. Body style has not undergone any major overhaul, and only the headlight and front bumper profiles have a slightly updated look. Exterior paint options for the Performance were limited to a more classic palette and included Solid Black, Red Multi-Coat, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Deep Blue Metallic, and Midnight Silver Metallic.

On the inside, the Model S is also very little changed, with the focus on interior design centering around a minimalist aesthetic and the Model S 17” touchscreen control panel. Interior colors to complement this aesthetic were offered in All Black, Black and White, and Cream. The dash on the Performance was available as either Carbon Fiber or Oak Wood. Seating came with Synthetic Vegan Leather as the standard seating material.

Wheel customizations included 19” and 21” designs, depending on the driver’s preference for road wear and durability vs driving performance and vice versa. Aside from the base design that came standard, 19” wheels were offered in designs Cyclone, Tempest, and Slipstream (in Silver and Sonic Carbon). 21” wheel options with a sportier aesthetic came in designs Turbine (in Silver and Gray), Arachnid (in Black and Silver), Twin Turbine (in Silver and Sonic Carbon).
