Become a member of an exclusively small club of original Tesla Roadster owners by purchasing this Obsidian Black beauty #306. This west coast vehicle was originally purchased by an executive at a well known software giant and then by a tech start-up guru. The vehicle was uniquely featured in the Chinese auto show. It has been babied and cared for from its conception as you can see by the photos. This head-turner is more stunning in person than the iPhone camera can capture.
The market for these OG Teslas has become EXTREMELY HOT — another sub #500 (in red) recently listed for over $1M while prototypes have already sold for over $1M. Additional Features: hard top and convertible soft top, upgraded car stereo with Apple CarPlay and hands-free bluetooth operation, integrated back-up camera and black powder coated rims, slow and fast charging cables.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What is that?
Warning: You cannot pull into any open area with people without getting asked about the vehicle. Be prepared for a 5 minute conversation about it.
2. How fast is it?
Upon release the Tesla Roadster was one of the fastest American production vehicles in the world — with a 0-60 rated at 3.x seconds.
3. What’s it like to drive?
Feels like you are driving a drone. Insane amount of speed and control.
4. Is that the original Tesla Roadster Elon Musk launched into space?
Think about how crazy of a question that is and how few people can say “Yes, Elon’s personal Tesla Roadster is indeed floating in space which means there is one less here on earth”.
5. Where do you get it serviced?
At the local Tesla Service Center (on earth).
6. How often do you have to charge it?
With my driving habits I can go an entire week on a single full charge. I typically trickle (slow) charge at night so I have never emptied the battery and it is raring to go in the morning.
7. How big is the trunk?
Big enough to fit a set of golf clubs OR my weekly Costco run, not both at the same time.
8. How do you fit/sit in there?
I am 6’2″ and 200 lbs and I fit perfectly fine. If you are much taller or larger than that you may start to feel a little pinched. Very similar gymnastic move required to get into a Lamborghini or McLaren.
9. Why are you selling it?
I have the new Tesla Roadster and Cybertruck on order so I am starting to make room in my garage.
10. Any chance you could let me drive it?
No, sorry I am running late…
